In 2009, I attended the Galloup Guitar School in Big Rapids, MI to learn more about guitar electronics, repair, and to become an authorized Buzz Feiten Retrofitter. After applying the Feiten system to one of my own guitars, I became a believer. I didn’t realize how much acoustic guitars play out of tune until I played one that was in tune. It’s now a standard feature on my guitars and I invite you to play one of my guitars and compare it to your favorite guitar.
I’m a one man operation in a climate controlled shop located in the Alliance area of North Ft. Worth, Texas. Every guitar is 100% handcrafted by myself. I don’t use any pre-made parts or kits. To build a great guitar, it takes an individual who has a good feel for working with tone wood. Every piece of wood is different. I’ve been asked what thickness I make my tops, backs, or sides and I can’t give them a definitive answer. It depends on the piece of wood. Some wood is more dense than others. It’s taken years of building and listening to different guitars to get the feel for the wood. When building, I find myself flexing and tapping on wood listening for the right feel and sound. It’s this experience that gives Kneeburg Guitars superior tone, and playability.
Whether you’re looking for a custom one of kind handcrafted guitar or need yours repaired or set up, call me and I’m always happy to help. If I don’t answer, please leave me a voice mail. A lot of time, I’m out in the shop with a machine running and can’t hear the phone.
Thanks,
Kevin
